Intro to Sculpture Workshop Friday Evening

Explore the fundamentals of sculpting in this three-hour, hands-on class focused on practice, technique and observation.

Working from plaster studies of Michelangelo’s David, the human skull and other reference props, you’ll learn how to observe form and translate it into three dimensions. Your instructor, Kieran, will guide you through proportion, basic anatomy, and foundational additive and subtractive sculpting techniques.

This beginner-friendly class is designed for learning and experimentation rather than creating a finished ceramic piece. No previous sculpture experience is required, and all clay and sculpting tools will be provided.

Aprons and towels are not provided. Please bring your own apron and wear clothing you don’t mind getting messy.
